Happy Leap Day!<\/p>\n

Today is a day of firsts. \u00a0This is the first<\/em> time I\u2019ve installed WordPress on my own server. \u00a0This is the first<\/em> post to said WordPress blog, the first<\/em> time I\u2019ve built \u201cblog panels\u201d and the first<\/em> time that I\u2019ll publicly speak about an amazing experience I had January 25th, 2012.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m sure that as soon as I type Clayton Austin<\/a> in this post, this blog will immediately be swarmed by all of his groupies worldwide. \u00a0Yes, that\u2019s just amazing he is. \u00a0His vintage inspired photography is\u2026 inspiring. \u00a0 To make a long story short, I was invited to Clayton\u2019s one day Share the Goodness<\/a><\/strong> workshop. \u00a0While this wasn\u2019t the first<\/em> time I\u2019d met Clayton (he shot my cousin\u2019s wedding a few years prior), it would be the first<\/em> time I\u2019d fly several hundred miles to attend a photography workshop and the first<\/em> workshop I would attend that included a live shoot. \u00a0Do you remember watching that movieCharlie and the Chocolate Factory<\/em>\u00a0as a child and that feeling you felt when Charlie got a golden ticket? \u00a0Yup, that\u2019s what it felt like receiving an invitation to the workshop.<\/p>\n

Carrying on with the firsts\u2026<\/p>\n

This was the first<\/em> time I\u2019d meet an amazing group of people. \u00a0I\u2019ve debated on whether or not I\u2019d go into detail about each of them (thanks for showing us all up Tahni<\/a>)\u2026 if I do, I\u2019m sure I\u2019ll tear up all over my keyboard\u2026 and that\u2019s no good\u2026 I mean, there really aren\u2019t any words that can truly express how amazing each of them are anyway. \u00a0Tho that song from Fivel\u2019s American Tale<\/em>, Somewhere Out There<\/em>, comes to mind.<\/p>\n

Tahni<\/a>, yes\u2026 it\u2019s true\u2026 we clearly knew each other in a previous life. \u00a0Long lost soul mate.<\/p>\n

Derrek<\/a>, I still don\u2019t believe that this was your first<\/em> experience\u2026 with still images. \u00a0Nine other people have your \u201cV\u201d card! \u00a0Your videos are inspiring. \u00a0I\u2019m certain that you\u2019ll be receiving inquiries from across the pond soon.<\/p>\n

Athena<\/a>, I. AM. ATHENA. \u00a0Sorry, it just slipped out. \u00a0I enjoy that there\u2019s someone else in the group that\u2019ll randomly bust out into song.<\/p>\n

Kelsea<\/a>, you\u2019re crazy talented and so quiet.<\/p>\n

Justin<\/a>, \u201cjust tap out. \u00a0I love you.\u201d \u00a0Don\u2019t worry, I cried too.<\/p>\n

Tanner<\/a>, you are<\/strong>\u00a0crazy humble. \u00a0Your video work is great, and you\u2019re currently taking the world by storm. \u00a0Yeah, I read about that Mtv gig you just scored. \u00a0Congrats!<\/p>\n

Caroline+Ben<\/a>, thank you for being gorgeous\u2026and for modeling for us. \u00a0Belated congrats on your engagement! \u00a0The photographer that shoots your wedding is gonna have it easy.<\/p>\n

Clayton<\/a>, I kinda wanna repeat the \u201cjust tap out\u201d line\u2026but that seems lame.<\/p>\n

Tahni<\/a>, Derrek<\/a>, Athena<\/a>, Kelsea<\/a>, Justin<\/a>, Tanner<\/a>, Clayton<\/a> and Caroline+Ben<\/a> I *HEART* you all! \u00a0Yes, those are indeed links above\u2026 and you should take time to check out each of their portfolios, it\u2019s time well invested.<\/p>\n

I\u2019d like to thank\u00a0Clayton<\/a>\u00a0for, so many things, \u00a0bringing this group together, inspiring us and imparting a wealth of knowledge upon us. \u00a0This experience and the relationships made are priceless. \u00a0If you ever have the opportunity to attend a Share the Goodness<\/a><\/strong>workshop (at the time of writing, the June 6-7 workshop was sold out), do not hesitate,DO IT<\/strong>! \u00a0[I think the original STGers should crash the June workshop.]<\/p>\n

Oh yeah, and Athena<\/a> asked me to write about those 600 thread count sheets from Restoration Hardware that Clayton<\/a> had on the guest bed for me. \u00a0I think I should talk about the bamboo box I had to mail back. \":)\"<\/p>\n

Ok, I thought I was a photographer because I was bad with words\u2026 lets wrap it up and get on with the goodness.<\/p>\n
